The German Award for Sustainability Projects was presented at a ceremony on 07.06.2023 at the Bertelsmann Representative Office in Berlin. With 283 organisations participating in the competition, STI Group Communications Manager Meike Dihstelhoff was delighted to accept the first prize for packaging solutions on behalf of STI Group. Other prizewinners included corporations such as Aldi Süd, Audi and Telekom, medium-sized companies, start-ups, NGOs and public companies.

In total, 69 different projects impressed the jury and, according to patron Brigitte Zypries, former Federal Minister of Justice and Economics, represent exemplary corporate commitment to sustainability. The award jury emphasised that STI Group's Circular Innovation Programme is a systematic, strategic and uniform approach to evaluating sustainability criteria, highlighting the importance of the company’s Sustainability Scorecard, which was developed as part of the programme. This evaluation tool quickly and transparently tests packaging solutions for different aspects of sustainability and identifies optimisation potential.
