Solidus announces price increase for cardboard

The Dutch manufacturer of cardboard and packaging solutions Solidus Solutions, Groningen, announced plans in mid-May to increase prices for all types of cardboard by €60 per tonne.

The surcharges are to apply to deliveries from 17 June. In a letter, Solidus cites the cost increases that the cartonboard manufacturer has seen in all areas in recent months as the reason for the measure.

If this current trend continues, a further price increase cannot be ruled out, explains Rienk Jan van der Kooi, CEO of Solidus.
