The transaction includes the entire activities of the manufacturer of cigarette papers, lightweight printing papers and other specialty papers, for example for packaging solutions, including the subsidiaries Julius Glatz GmbH, PaperTec GmbH and Glatz TransTec GmbH. The business divisions and production sites of Glatz will remain in place and will be specifically promoted and expanded, the companies explain in a press release. The approximately 240 employees of Glatz will be fully integrated into the global Seaman Paper team.

The acquisition of Glatz will strengthen Seaman Paper's presence in Germany and expand its technological expertise in the production and finishing of packaging solutions for specialty papers that replace single-use plastics, the statement continues.

Seaman Paper operates production facilities in the USA, Europe and Asia - including sites in Gardner, Rastatt and Dongguan - and offers lightweight paper solutions for packaging and specialty applications to companies in the retail, food, e-commerce, fashion and cosmetics industries.

Seaman Paper acquired the Werola crepe and colored paper mill in Rastatt out of insolvency in 2015.
