Truepress Jet520HD+ with newly launched SC+ ink and Truepress PAC520P developed for environmentally friendly flexible paper packaging printing showcased at industry event in Lucerne
Around the theme of ‘Creating a Future in Print’, SCREEN Europe will showcase two of its most groundbreaking products at this year’s Hunkeler Innovationdays in Lucerne. SCREEN Europe will exhibit the Truepress Jet520HD+, which uses SCREEN’s newest generation SC+ ink, as well as its brand-new Truepress PAC 520P. This high-speed, water-based inkjet digital press, developed for flexible packaging, uses proprietary water-based pigment inks that comply with appropriate food-safety regulations. Beneficially, it reduces environmental impact compared to conventional printing processes.
In addition, SCREEN will demonstrate how it cooperates with Solimar Systems to streamline production flows, enabling greater automation and labour savings, while also reducing production losses and errors in the printing process.
520HD+: Digital Future for commercial printing
The Truepress Jet520HD+ press with its newly launched ink, SC+ Ink, is the most reliable and productive on the market. It will be configured with the Hunkeler Cut & Stuck system (CS8) at the HID 2023 industry event in Lucerne, Switzerland, from 27 February-2 March.
“Our Truepress Jet520HD+ offers high printing quality on standard offset papers at great productivity – with the added power of variable and short-run print-on-demand,” says Taishi Motoshige, SCREEN Europe’s Marketing Director. “With more than 100 users have already shown that inkjet on gloss, silk and matt offset-coated stocks is possible without priming,” Taishi adds.
PAC 520P builds on more than a decade of experience in inkjet printing
In response to the trend of reducing plastic material in packaging, SCREEN has developed the Truepress PAC520P, a high-speed, water-based inkjet digital press for paper-based packaging substrates, with a much lower environmental impact than conventional printing processes. This is due to a drastic reduction in energy and material waste. Building on more than a decade of experience in inkjet printing, the Truepress PAC 520P uses newly developed proprietary water-based pigment inks that comply with appropriate food-safety regulations for sustainable flexible-packaging applications. The system is expected to provide both outstanding print quality and safety while maintaining exceptional throughput.
