Sappi Gratkorn: First quantities of new label papers already delivered

The producer of packaging and speciality papers Sappi Europe has produced the first quantities of the new wet-strength and alkali-resistant label papers at its Austrian paper mill in Gratkorn.
Sappi is thus on schedule with the realisation of its investment project to expand the production of label papers. The first batches of the "Parade Label WS" grade have already been delivered to selected customers. The new quality is available in grammages of 65-80 gsm.
By expanding its portfolio, Sappi is further expanding the Gratkorn site as a central plant for label papers, according to the press release. At the end of 2022, the paper producer announced plans to expand the production of label papers at the Gratkorn paper mill with an investment in the double-digit million range.
