Leading specialty paper manufacturer Sappi will showcase its extensive portfolio of coated and uncoated dye sublimation papers, papers for corrugated applications and silicone base papers at the upcoming FESPA Global Print Expo 2022 (May 31-June 3) in Berlin. Invest in expanding production capacity for sublimation papers
Sappi's theme for this year's FESPA Global Print Expo is "Sow. Thrive. Harvest." Sappi, one of the world's leading manufacturers of specialty papers, has recognized the rapidly growing importance of sublimation papers for digital transfer printing and is making its mark. The company recently announced that it will invest a low double-digit million euro amount over the next two years to expand its "Centre of Excellence" for specialty papers at its Carmignano site in northern Italy. The investment is aimed at increasing production capacity to support the growth of the sublimation papers business. It will also further improve the company's first-class service and shorten delivery times.
Comprehensive product portfolio of sublimation papers for a wide range of applications
Thanks to previous investments, Sappi is ideally positioned to offer a comprehensive portfolio of sublimation papers for digital transfer printing. These are constantly being improved and adapted to the latest market requirements and developments in the field of sustainability. Sublimation papers are used in the fashion, home textiles, sportswear and sports equipment industries, as well as in the soft signage and hard substrate industries.
This year, all papers will be exhibited with new designs and materials to give visitors the best possible overview and insight into the numerous application possibilities, adapted to a wide range of machine types and speeds. In addition to Sappi Basejet, an uncoated sublimation paper, the complete product family of the Transjet brand will also be presented.
High-quality papers for corrugated applications
For applications such as advertising displays, high-quality packaging or e-commerce cartons, Sappi offers a portfolio of coated and uncoated liner grades. These guarantee brilliant color reproduction as well as excellent contrast and improved readability. Made from 100 percent virgin fiber, Fusion Series liners are today's premium solutions for displays, consumer packaging, shelf-ready packaging and trays. With their homogeneous surface and high whiteness, the virgin fiber liners meet all the requirements for strong brand impact at the POS.
A complete range of silicone base papers
Silicone base papers complement Sappi's portfolio at this year's FESPA. Developed as backing papers for self-adhesive applications such as automotive films, outdoor advertising and office materials, they offer exceptional siliconization properties as well as easy and efficient converting.
