Sandon Global are celebrating success at this year’s Flexotech, EFIA and Chambers of Commerce award ceremonies. Scooping trophies at all 3 is quite an accomplishment against the backdrop of the most challenging environment for global business in a century.
Firstly, Managing Director Richard Millington was keen to congratulate the category winners at the Flexotech Awards. He commented “It fills me with pride when I see the fruits of our labour recognised by the industry and celebrated by our customers. The winning print entries were truly top class. I would like to congratulate all the nominees and of course our winning customers Roberts Mart, DS Smith Livingstone and MCC Daventry for their successes in the Flexible Packaging wide-web, medium web, Corrugated Post-Print and Best use of embellishments categories.” He added. “The Flexotech Award format demonstrates the quality that can be achieved when the right combination of tools available to modern day printers work in harmony.”
Furthermore, Sandon Global added the “Supplier Of The Year” Silver Award to their enviable trophy cabinet at this months EFIA Awards. Nominated by UK and European printers this award has become a standard for the Runcorn based anilox manufacturer. Technical Sales Director Stuart Mitchell attended the event held at the National Railway Museum in York. “This award is testament to our commitment to pushing the boundaries in both anilox technology and our technical support. Investment in our online tools, training aids and supporting materials including operating procedures and training videos demonstrates our commitment to our customers.” He added. “It is also great to see several of our customers collecting awards for print.”
Finally, Sandon Global were named “Export Business of the Year” at the St Helens Borough Business Awards held in October. This category recognises businesses that stand out from the crowd on the international stage and demonstrates that they have generated significant and/or sustained increases in their export activity. Sandon Global were praised by the judges for their “impressive and speedy reaction to the challenges of Brexit and their methodical and focussed penetration into new markets.” Sandon Global Engraving Technology Ltd will now be entered into the British Chambers of Commerce National Business Awards, with the finals taking place in London in December.
Richard Millington said. “I am extremely proud to have received this award, furthermore, given it’s for the 3rd year running it highlights the strength and flexibility of our dedicated and highly skilled team. We are one of many SME’s who have had to adapt to unforeseen and planned changes in the market. Regardless of the political landscape and uncertainty we have spent time researching and challenging our strategies to the point where we have the conviction and skills to build on our ongoing success. Being recognised by the St. Helens Chamber is very humbling but also reassuring that we are on the right path. The next chapter in the history of our business is one that excites, motivates and drives us on.”
Mr. Millington refers to the new 58,000sq.ft. purpose-built factory due to be opened next year. This significant investment includes new plant, equipment, and the R&D capability to launch Sandon Global into the next phase of its ambitious growth plan.
