Corrugated board specialist plans new production site in the Rosenheim area
Rondo Ganahl AG is pressing ahead with its expansion plans in Germany. This next step follows the successful integration of Walz Verpackungen GmbH (Langenenslingen/Biberach district) into the corporate group. The Austrian corrugated board specialist is currently assessing location options for a new corrugated board plant in the Rosenheim area, since this region provides an ideal addition to Rondo’s existing sites. Construction plans are currently in development.
A new corrugated board plant is the next step for further development on the German market following the takeover of Walz Verpackungen GmbH four years ago. “We have looked at different location options to ensure that we can meet the increasing demand for sustainable corrugated packaging concepts in southern Germany, while at the same time continuing to be well-positioned for future growth. Several market analyses have shown that a site in the Rosenheim area is the optimal solution for us. Situated exactly between our headquarters in Frastanz and our second Austrian corrugated board plant in St. Ruprecht, we are, above all, close to our customers in the region, in line with our mission statement” says Hubert Marte, chairman of Rondo Ganahl AG, explaining the decision for this location.
Preparations for construction and obtaining the necessary approvals have already begun and construction of the new plant is scheduled to begin in early 2023.
