Prospective buyers visit Pro-Gest plant in Mantua, production currently at a standstill
News General news
The rumour mill continues to bubble around the Italian packaging and tissue group Pro-Gest, Istrana di Treviso, and most recently especially around the corrugated base paper plant in Mantua.
According to various local media reports and information from market circles, the site has already been visited by several prospective buyers. Pro-Gest itself denied that sales negotiations are currently underway. The group also did not want to confirm that the CEO of the group, Francesco Zago, had resigned from his position due to internal disputes.
The Mantua mill is currently at a standstill. Many paper mills carry out shutdowns in August, this year sometimes longer than usual due to the poor order situation. In Mantua, however, it is apparently not yet clear when production will restart.
