Price increases for eucalyptus pulp announced

The price slump in the market for short-fibre pulp does indeed seem to have come to an end. At least several producers, including the world's largest supplier of BEK market pulp, have now announced price increases effective 1 September.

Depending on the region, prices are to increase by 20 to 50 US$/t.
In Asia, the increase is US$ 20, bringing the net price at Chinese ports to US$ 550 per tonne. In Europe, plus 50 US$ is demanded, resulting in a list price of 850 US$/t. In North, Central and South America it is also plus US$ 50/t, bringing the list price to US$ 1 040/t when fully implemented.
