Company news
Papeterie Saint-Michel is home to two paper machines with a capacity of 75,000 tons per year. The mill is part of Groupe Thiollet, which also operates the Gatineaux-Thiollet packaging plant.
Smaller mills with older machines are having a hard time in the current market environment. Demand is too weak and the competition too fierce. Players have complained about the slump in demand in the packaging sector and the fall in sales prices coupled with high production costs.
