According to the company, the persistently high electricity and gas prices as well as price increases for waste paper and transportation will make a surcharge necessary in February.
Export sales prices are said to have already been raised in a first step in January and further increases have also been communicated there. However, despite an improved order situation and higher export prices, the adjustments were nowhere near enough to offset the cost increases. For this reason, price adjustments of up to 100 €/t were unavoidable in February, reports Managing Director Helmut Kluth.
