drupa will continue its proven four-year rhythm and will take place for the first time in May 2028 with a duration of nine days. The world's leading trade fair for printing technologies is thus adapting to the changing needs and expectations of exhibitors and visitors.
The printing and packaging industry is undergoing dynamic change, which also requires the further development of industry events, explains the organizer. This also applies to drupa, the new edition of which is planned to take place in Düsseldorf from May 9 to 17, 2028.
“drupa 2024 was more international than ever, and the positive atmosphere in the halls reflected the industry's determination to drive profound change in order to create a more sustainable print and packaging industry through automation, artificial intelligence and targeted collaborations. And it is precisely for these important goals that a reliable platform such as drupa will continue to be needed in the future. However, it has also become clear that the time spent at a B2B trade fair with a very high proportion of decision-makers from all over the world has become shorter. That's why we want to facilitate a trade fair visit that offers maximum efficiency,” says Wolfram N. Diener, CEO of Messe Düsseldorf, explaining this decision.
