On 14 February 2022, Andreas Rauscher took up the position of new Managing Director of Steinbeis Papier GmbH at the Glückstadt site alongside Ulrich Feuersinger. He is responsible for the areas of Technology, Production and Research and Development.
“Today, with its 40 years of experience in ecologically integrated paper production, Steinbeis Papier is one of the most successful European companies in this field. This leadership role also comes with responsibility for the future – a future which we want to help shape with our innovative mindset. The evolution of our technology is one way in which we are contributing to this. We have made the digitalisation of production one of our core topics, which will allow us to remain competitive into the future. With Andreas Rauscher as our new Technical Managing Director, we want to expand technology in the recycled paper production industry”, says Ulrich Feuersinger, who is spokesperson for the management and responsible for the areas of Finance and Accounting, IT, HR, Supply Chain Management and Sales and Marketing.
Andreas Rauscher (56) joins us in Glückstadt with a wealth of experience in the paper industry: He most recently worked for Zellstoff Pöls AG. From mid-2018, he led pulp and kraft paper production as the CEO of the Austrian company.
After completing a degree in process engineering, Andreas Rauscher was able to establish himself as an expert and manager in various executive roles: He started out at MD Papier in Plattling, Germany. His career later led him to UPM Group in Steyrermühl, Austria, where he soon took over the position of plant manager at the Schwedt site in Germany. He continued to demonstrate his leadership skills and technical knowledge in his subsequent position as the Technical Managing Director at a plant of the delfortgroup in Finland. With this career path, Andreas Rauscher was therefore the ideal candidate for the position of Managing Director at Steinbeis Papier.
“Steinbeis Papier is the leading expert in the field of recycled paper. With its high-tech expert recycling management, the company and its employees are pioneers when it comes to sustainability and ecology. I am very eager to take on my new role and am looking forward to contributing to the innovative mindset that is so pronounced here”, says Andreas Rauscher.
