Mondi Neusiedler will focus on the strategic growth markets of luxury packaging, graphic printing and papers for technical applications and converting. At the same time, the strength of the sites will be used to produce high-quality and diversified products.

As a result of this realignment, one paper machine will be shut down and the capacity of the finishing lines will be bundled. Unfortunately, the accompanying change in production capacity will inevitably have an impact on the workforce. To this end, Mondi has initiated talks with the works council of the Neusiedler mill.

To support the realignment, an investment of 20 million euros has been approved to increase the energy efficiency of the plant and ensure the necessary upgrades to machinery, infrastructure and buildings. This investment is in line with Mondi's sustainability commitments under MAP2030, which include reducing greenhouse gas emissions in line with science-based climate targets.
