Mondi continues to invest in Mondi Grünburg with new technology to meet customer demands for sustainable packaging solutions

International packaging and paper group Mondi is continuing its ongoing investment in the business by installing a new folder-gluer at its Grünburg site, which will meet customers' increasing demands for sustainable packaging solutions and will be operational by the end of next year.

Mondi Grünburg's product portfolio includes a wide range of corrugated packaging solutions for the food and consumer goods industries. The new technology will enable the team in Grünburg to offer an even wider range of customized, high-quality solutions for customers in the region.

"Packaging is usually the first point of contact consumers have with a branded product at the point of sale," says Michaela Wurm, Managing Director Mondi Corrugated Solutions for the Central Europe region. "First impressions count, and high-impact packaging combined with smart and sustainable design is of great importance to stand out from the crowd. The new fold-and-glue machine opens up new opportunities for our customers throughout Austria and southern Germany to showcase their products with great functionality, quality and practical packaging design."
