Mayr-Melnhof wants to close Sarreguemines plant

Mayr-Melnhof is likely to divest one of its plants in France. The company announced that it would start consultation talks on the possible closure of the Sarreguemines (Saargemünd) plant.

The plant is located in the north-east of France near Saarbrücken and produces pharmaceutical leaflets for the Western European market.
According to Mayr-Melnhof, 49 employees would be affected by the closure. The company explained that the plant has been making losses for years.
Mayr-Melnhof operates two other leaflet plants in France.
