Update: Mayr-Melnhof implements rebuild programme of board machine 3 in Kolicevo according to plan
News General news
Austrian cartonboard producer Mayr-Melnhof will carry out the modernisation project to rebuild board machine 3 at its Kolicevo mill in Slovenia as planned.
This was announced by the group on Monday afternoon via the business network LinkedIn. Last week, in the context of the publication of the half-year results, MM left open whether the project planned for the third quarter could start as scheduled. MM now announces that the reconstruction work will start on 21 August according to plan, as a spokesperson confirmed to EUWID.
Due to the recent floods in Slovenia, which also affected the Kolicevo cartonboard mill, production had to be temporarily stopped, a spokesperson told EUWID. In the meantime, the board machine, which can produce up to 225,000 t/y of GD, GC and GT board as well as liners, has started up again, he said. All goods produced before the floods are safe and shipping from all warehouses in Slovenia is guaranteed, MM writes.
