LD Celulose S.A. (LDC) is a joint venture between the Austrian company Lenzing and the Brazilian company Dexco (formerly called Duratex), establishing one of the world’s largest dissolving wood pulp plants. Scheduled to start production in the first half of 2022 in Brazil, the new plant will have the capacity to produce 500,000 tons of dissolving wood pulp per year, based on 70,000 ha of eucalyptus forests.

In coordination with the LDC Forest Planning team, Remsoft Brazil will ensure best practice application of industry-leading modeling and analytics technology to meet its strategic planning needs.

Remsoft’s Strategic Optimization application is used by global forestry organizations to assess and improve all facets of long-term, strategic forest management planning – balancing priorities, environmental requirements, and resource sustainability.
