The AccurioShine 3600 is a compact solution that enables UV spot varnishing and digital metalising from prototyping to full production without the need for screens, plates or embossing dies. Digital UV spot varnishing and digital metallisation add a special touch to any project, making printed products stand out from the crowd.

Building on the success of the MGI JETVARNISH 3D One, this system has been added to Konica Minolta's growing portfolio under its own brand. Konica Minolta has worked with MGI to further optimise the proven technology. This results in improved productivity, reliability and reduced maintenance.

Fully digital, with industry-leading finishing job set-up technology using artificial intelligence and an environmentally friendly LED curing system: the AccurioShine 3600 offers all this in an impressively compact modular design. Thanks to breakthrough technology, it enables the addition of 2D and 3D gloss effects as well as tactile digital hot foil effects at a reasonable cost and without the laborious steps of conventional systems. Print service providers benefit from a range of effective finishing effects while increasing their profit margin.

With a maximum paper size of B3+ (364 mm x 750 mm), the system is ideally suited for finishing frequently used printed matter. For example, business cards, greeting cards, photo book covers and even on-demand packaging, creating an impactful and unique printed product for customers.

The AccurioShine 3600 also supports variable data printing (VDP), which makes tickets, personalised packaging and labels, invitations, dialogue marketing and the like even more effective. The AccurioShine 3600's barcode scanner reads barcodes from a pre-printed sheet and instantly selects the corresponding TIFF file already stored on the workstation. The combination of the VDP barcode scanner with the automatic PDF file converter also provides a seamless workflow that takes files from a PDF to the TIFF output format in minutes.

"The launch of the AccurioShine 3600 demonstrates our commitment to the printing industry and the premium finishing market," said Mirko Pelzer, Offering Manager Professional Printing at Konica Minolta Germany. "With the switch to digital printing, we are placing more emphasis on the digitisation of pre-press and finishing processes, in addition to on-demand short-run printing. Furthermore, by combining the AccurioShine 3600 with other Konica Minolta digital colour presses, our customers are not only growing their business in new ways, but also adding value for their customers. By adding low-cost, high-impact, high-quality short-run finishing to their everyday print jobs."

Pelzer added: "In the print industry, it is no longer enough to just offer quality and speed at low prices, but about the added value that really sets print products apart. The more you can stand out from the competition, the better business growth you can achieve. With the Konica Minolta AccurioShine 3600, print service providers can meet the demanding requirements of today's print industry."
