Konica Minolta achieves Fogra accreditation for AccurioPress C14000 and C4080 Series
News General news
Two high-speed colour digital printing systems from Konica Minolta have been awarded international FograCert Validation Printing System (VPS) certification. They are the flagship production AccurioPress C14000 Series and the AccurioPress C4080 Series to help customers further adapt to changing market requirements and develop new revenue streams.
Fogra, a research institute in Germany for media technologies, recognises print production systems that demonstrate commitment to ISO standards, based on measurable criteria.
Fogra found that the Konica Minolta AccurioPress C14000 series and C4080 series ‘fulfil all criteria of this programme in the tested configurations’. The presses are now certified when running the optional EFI Fiery, or Konica Minolta controllers.
The Fogra accreditation follows extensive testing in various printing conditions covering a wide range of capabilities. These included PDF/X conformance, proofing substrate colour, gloss and fluorescence, colour accuracy, uniformity, permanence, and light fastness. Other factors were fading, long and short-term repeatability, print rub resistance, colorimetric tone value transfer, tone value reproduction limits, image register and resolving power and margin information.
The AccurioPress C14000 Series, which was Konica Minolta’s first foray into the high-volume toner printing segment, was launched in October 2019. The AccurioPress C14000 prints at 140 pages per minute (ppm) in A4, while the AccurioPress C12000 provides the same high print quality and a similarly fast speed of 120 ppm.
Konica Minolta’s AccurioPress C4080 Series represent entry- and mid-level presses that also help customers rethink graphical communications. The models are the AccurioPress C4080 running at 81 ppm, AccurioPress C4070 (71ppm) and AccurioPrint C4065 (66ppm).
