Kappa Rus takes over Russian paper mill for corrugated base paper

The Russian JSC Kappa Rus has acquired Okulovskaya Paper Mill LLC, which is also Russian.

The mill produces waste paper-based corrugated base paper and packaging in the Novgorod region. According to its own information, it has a production capacity of up to 90,000 tons per year of fluting and testliner as well as 100 million pieces of packaging such as egg cartons.
The new owner of Okulovskaya Paper Mill JSC Kappa Rus is a manufacturer of packaging with a broad portfolio, including packaging for liquid foodstuffs. The company was acquired by Smurfit Kappa in 2017 and sold to parts of the management in March 2023. Kappa Rus has four factories in the Leningrad region and Moscow and employs 800 people.
