In the German market for tissue paper, paper mills surveyed by EUWID reported largely satisfactory capacity utilization of paper machines at the end of the year with regard to demand.

While the German paper industry as a whole is confronted with continued consumer restraint, the situation in the tissue paper sector is somewhat isolated from this.
In an interview with EUWID, industry experts explain that the tissue market is not subject to the same degree of economic fluctuations in demand as packaging paper, for example. Business with toilet paper and kitchen rolls, for example, is largely constant.
