Heinzel: Production of new paper machine at Steyrermühl mill to start in May

Heinzel subsidiary Zellstoff Pöls AG plans to start commissioning the new paper machine (PM) 6 at its Steyrermühl paper mill in Upper Austria at the end of April.
Production of the first quantities is scheduled to start in May. This was announced by a spokesperson for the company.

Heinzel plans to produce up to 150,000 tonnes of brown and white kraft paper with low basis weights per year on the machine, which was called PM 3 before the rebuild.
As reported, the plant is currently being rebuilt by mechanical engineering company Andritz for the production of calendered kraft paper (MF paper). This is used for the production of flexible packaging, among other things.
