Heinzel subsidiary Zellstoff Pöls has started commissioning the new paper machine 6 at the Steyrermühl paper mill in Upper Austria.

The start-up process is proceeding according to plan, a company spokesperson confirmed to EUWID. Heinzel plans to produce up to 150,000 tonnes of brown and white kraft paper with low basis weights per year on the machine, which was called PM 3 before the rebuild.
PM 6 was rebuilt by mechanical engineering company Andritz for the production of calendered kraft paper (MF paper).
