Heidelberger Druckmaschinen repositions itself in Wiesloch: 450 job cuts planned

Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG, together with the Works Council and IG Metall, has adopted a plan for the future to strengthen the competitiveness of the Wiesloch-Walldorf site in Germany.
This is intended to reduce personnel costs by more than € 100 million over the next three financial years through various measures, thereby not only increasing cost efficiency but also enabling investments. The agreement is valid with immediate effect until December 31, 2028 and also includes a site guarantee for 3,500 employees as well as investments in the site.
In order to reduce personnel costs, a reduction of around 450 jobs at the Wiesloch-Walldorf site is planned, according to the press release. Around 4,000 people are currently employed there. The job cuts are to be carried out in a socially responsible manner.
