Sales of coated and uncoated magazine and catalog papers have not improved even after the sharp drop in demand in 2023, but continue to decline, observers describe a soft market. In many places, incoming orders for LWC are simply not sufficient for economic and future-proof planning, say industry experts. A similar situation currently applies to SC papers - although the rebuild in Laakirchen means that a considerable reduction in supply is imminent. PM 11 is due to cease operations at the end of November.
