Folding carton manufacturer Karl Augustin AG closes: Production will continue until September

The Swiss folding carton manufacturer Karl Augustin AG, based in Thayngen, has decided to close its operations.

In mid-January, the packaging manufacturer announced that it would cease production in the course of this year and that it would review the closure of the company for the time being until the end of a consultation process. Contrary to the original announcement, however, folding carton production will not continue until the end of May, but until the end of September 2025, according to the company.

Founded in 1911, Karl Augustin AG produces folding cartons, displays and labels for the food, non-food, pharmaceutical and medical sectors with a total of 29 employees.
