Stacker for handy booklet stacks
News General news
The FKS/Rima RS10S compensating stacker on saddle stitchers or booklet making systems ensures that the end products are laid out efficiently and neatly, optimizing the entire production line. It minimizes manual intervention, increases the speed and quality of the delivery and ensures that the finished products are ready for further processing.

To deliver a stable bundle of brochures from the machines, the sheets must be interlaced crosswise. The sheets run individually into the feeder shaft of the compensating stacker. Depending on the thickness of the brochure, the sheets are stacked in different numbers and then dropped onto the turntable. After ejection, the plate rotates 180° and another layer is ejected. This is repeated until a handy and stable bundle has been formed. This packet is ejected with a pusher and removed directly by hand. This process gives the operators more time during production to take care of necessary ancillary activities such as filling the feeder, transporting material, printing carton labels or preparing cartons. Even at high production speeds, the compensating stacker ensures that a consistently high level of productivity is maintained.
Advantages of the compensating stacker:
- Orderly display of products: The compensating stacker ensures that the finished products are laid out neatly and orderly. This makes subsequent handling and packaging easier.
- Higher production speed: The compensating stacker enables the products to be delivered continuously and quickly without the brochure system having to be slowed down. This allows the entire production line to run at a higher speed.
- Automation and efficiency: The compensating stacker automates the delivery process, which reduces the amount of manual work required. This increases efficiency and allows larger runs to be produced in less time.
- Optimum stacking for further processing: The compensating stacker lays out the products in such a way that they can be stacked and easily removed for further processing (e.g. cutting, packaging or shipping). This saves time and improves the workflow.
- Flexibility: The compensating stacker can be adapted to different product formats, which increases flexibility and enables it to be used in different production scenarios.
