When it comes to packaging, consumers have a clear opinion: unpackaged is the best solution. But when packaging is necessary for reasons of product protection, paper packaging is in first place, followed by recycled plastic.
This is the conclusion of a study conducted by the Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg (MLU). According to the survey, consumers are even prepared to pay more money for products that are packaged sustainably.
The Felix Schoeller Group is benefiting from this trend and has been able to successively expand its market position. As one of the world's leading paper manufacturers, the Felix Schoeller Group can offer customers customised solutions that are precisely tailored to the requirements of the particular products and goods to be packaged.
"With our comprehensive product portfolio and accompanying consultancy services, we help our customers to develop sustainable packaging solutions with optimum product protection. In this way, we make a significant contribution to replacing conventional packaging materials with environmentally friendly solutions," says Nikolai Geres, General Manager of the Packaging Segment at the Felix Schoeller Group.
