Ence invests in pulp mill and announces shutdown

Spanish pulp and energy company Ence Energía y Celulosa plans to increase efficiency and make production more sustainable with an investment at its Navia mill in northern Spain.

The company will carry out a scheduled maintenance shutdown from March 3 to 18 and invest €14 million in the site, according to a press release. The investment project includes decarbonization measures and adjustments for the future production of specialty pulp.
The Navia mill currently produces bleached eucalyptus pulp (BEK).
