emtec: Technology for optimizing pulp, paper and board processing on site at IMPS 2022
News General news
The annual International Munich Paper Symposium (IMPS) will be held for the 30th time from May 23-25, 2022. Experts from the paper and board industry come from near and far to present the latest technological advances and exchange ideas. Emtec Electronic GmbH will be there to present a wide range of technical solutions that, among other things, lead to the optimization of processing operations and less waste of resources.
Sustainability and scarcity of raw materials are forcing many companies to strategically address the challenges of the future. Efficient use of resources, leading to cost savings and reduced environmental impact, continues to be a prominent topic among paper and board manufacturers. At the same time, the performance of paper and board products must meet high standards as demand increases.
This year's IMPS conference will focus on the general theme of "Progress in Paper and Board" and will feature numerous presentations from paper mills showcasing the latest developments in this field. In addition, technology developers and machine manufacturers supplying the paper, board and tissue industries will play an important role at the technical conference to showcase the latest technological innovations.
One of these companies is emtec Electronic GmbH from Leipzig, Germany. Emtec develops and manufactures specialized testing and measuring equipment that determines relevant processing characteristics of paper, tissue and board, enabling more accurate control of resource use and waste reduction. The product portfolio offers innovative and practical solutions for quality assurance, process optimization, troubleshooting, complaint handling and product development in both the wet and dry end of production.
Area Sales Manager Stefan Rübesam will represent emtec at the IMPS and will explain the measurement principles behind the devices, answer questions, and demonstrate the devices upon request.
The following solutions will be on display:
- CAS touch! Charge Analyzing System - for particle charge determination
- FPA touch! Fiber Potential Analyzer & FPO Fiber Zeta Potential Analyzer Online - for determination of zeta potential in the laboratory and on site
- TSA Tissue Softness Analyzer - for determination of tissue softness, smoothness and stiffness and handfeel calculation
- ACA Ash Content Analyzer - a rapid, non-destructive method for determining mineral filler content
- PDA.C 02 Penetration Dynamics Analyzer & EST Surface & Sizing Tester - for determining the surface properties of paper and board to predict gluing, printing and coating properties
