DS Smith stages six-pack of Tony's Chocolonely - chocolate indulgence without regret
News General news
Tony's Chocolonely stands for 100 percent fair-trade chocolate. Since its founding, the Dutch label has been committed to fighting child labor and promoting more fairness, transparency and sustainability on West Africa's cocoa plantations. The company sources the secondary packaging for its quality products exclusively from DS Smith. One project of their Europe-wide cooperation is a 100% recyclable six-pack with selected varieties in the brand's brightly colored design. Thanks to side viewing windows and hollow edges, the sales packaging developed by DS Smith offers an unobstructed view of Tony's Chocolonely rainbow range. Whether in stationary retail or in e-commerce, the strong-identity presentation of goods attracts attention and makes every chocolate lover melt away. High-quality offset printing and a practical handle made of corrugated cardboard transport the attractive and sustainable packaging branding and brand message to the consumer's home.
DS Smith's creative retail packaging accommodates six 180 g bars from Tony's Chocolonely rainbow range. The two viewing windows provide a foretaste of the melt-in-the-mouth delicacies. The special feature is that all six bars are perfectly visible thanks to hollow edges on the sides. And all this without any additional material costs. The blanks of the two side windows are simply folded inwards and fixed in place with a plug-in fastener. Thanks to the automatic base, the innovative packaging can also be erected and filled quickly and easily and closed just as efficiently.
For maximum impact in the retail trade, the packaging is printed all around with a strong identity and high quality offset printing. Charts in the look and feel of the brand provide appealing information about the chocolate varieties contained in the six-pack and the associated mission of a more socially just cocoa industry. The message gets through to the consumer. Not least thanks to the integrated carrying handle made of corrugated cardboard, which shoppers can use to easily grab and carry the package home, complete with fair trade chocolate.
As a monomaterial solution made of 100% corrugated board, the Rainbowpack can be easily recycled at the shopper's home via the waste paper recycling loop. This is fully in line with DS Smith's sustainability strategy "Now. And Future." sustainability strategy, in which the company has set itself the goal of producing 100% reusable or recyclable packaging by 2023.
