The Crown Van Gelder B.V. paper mill in Velsen-Noord is in financial difficulties. The manufacturer of special papers for graphic and packaging applications has filed for insolvency at the court in Noord-Holland.

Rocco Mulder of the law firm Pot Jonker Advocaten was appointed as insolvency administrator.
Crown Van Gelder (CvG) produces about 160,000 tonnes per year of paper with about 200 employees. The company is considered the market leader in high speed inkjet (HSI). CvG also offers, among other things, offset qualities, label papers, packaging papers with barrier functions and specialities based on alternative raw materials.
