Chenming Paper plans to restart further plants

The Shandong Chenming Paper Group has made progress in the temporary shutdown of some production facilities and subsequent maintenance work at some sites and in the ongoing legal disputes.
However, the manufacturer of various grades of paper and board is expecting high financial losses. After reportedly continuing normal production at the Huanggang site and starting up the facilities at the Jiangxi site before Christmas 2024, the company says it plans to start a production line for graphic paper and a production line for mechanical pulp in Shouguang.
Once the temporary shutdowns, which Shandong Chenming Paper was forced to carry out due to financial difficulties, and the initiated maintenance work have been completed, the plants in Shouguang will be commissioned step by step after the Spring Festival and New Year in 2025.
