The Carl Lenz paper mill, which produces gray board in grammages of 180-350 g at the Wehr site with 18 employees, will close in the middle of next year.

The company has thus confirmed a report by the Südkurier newspaper to EUWID. The paper mill is legally independent, but works in association with Hülsenfabrik Herbster, which also uses the cardboard for the production of winding cores.

The decision to properly close the mill was a result of both energy costs and the overall market situation, it is said.
