Canon set to unveil new technology and help customers future-proof their business at Hunkeler Innovationdays 2023
News General news
Canon Europe is pleased to be attending Hunkeler Innovationdays 2023 in Lucerne, Switzerland (February 27th – 3rd March 2023) to show how its powerful and scalable end-to-end production solutions can help print service providers future-proof their business. With new Canon inkjet technology being launched at the event, visitors across commercial print, book publishing, direct mail and business communications will learn how Canon can support them to grow more sustainably through technology and business innovation.
Under the theme of ’Make It Future-proof’, Canon will show how print service providers can adapt to change with alternative business models and innovative production print solutions that boost productivity and flexibility to optimise processes, add value to applications, and allow access to new markets, while contributing to improved sustainability.
Visitors to Canon’s stand in Hall 2 will see significant progress since the last Hunkeler Innovationdays in 2019, with three digital presses producing a range of applications live at the event: the Canon ProStream web-fed inkjet press, the Canon varioPRINT iX sheet-fed inkjet press and the Canon imagePRESS V1000 sheet-fed toner press. A selection of applications produced on Canon ColorStream web-fed inkjet presses will also be on display.
Canon’s event highlight will be the announcement of product news in both web-fed and sheet-fed inkjet as well as its latest software solutions to streamline production and business processes – reinforcing the company’s leading position in production inkjet. These developments will give customers superior quality at even faster speeds across a wide range of publishing, promotional and business communications applications, giving further impetus to print service providers to reap the many benefits of transitioning to digital production, or to optimise and expand their digital print services.
All live Canon demos within the exhibition will be driven by Canon’s own PRISMA workflow software, which enables customers to optimise their entire print production workflow by seamlessly automating tasks from pre-press to press to finishing. Interested visitors will also find out how PRISMA solutions and Canon's professional services enable the design of complete end-to-end workflows in conjunction with other software components.
Jennifer Kolloczek, Planning, Marketing & Innovation Senior Director, Production Print, Canon Europe says: "Visitors to Hunkeler Innovationdays 2023 will once again experience the innovation power of Canon in production inkjet. We are excited to showcase a new inkjet solution as well as several customer-led advances on current presses that enable printers to expand their offering especially in demanding graphic arts applications. With powerful digital production solutions and ‘next-level’ automation, we can clearly show the growth potential that comes from seamlessly integrated end-to-end workflows. Attendees will also be able to see and discuss how Canon closely collaborates with technology partners, print service providers, print buyers and other stakeholders in print-related value chains – helping our customers to be successful and resilient to change in the short term as well as for the future."
To emphasise the tight correlation of technology and business innovation and underline the extensive range of applications which Canon can support, end-to-end finishing solutions will be showcased with long-standing partner Hunkeler and eight further Canon partners at Hunkeler Innovationdays.
