Brigl & Bergmeister plans price increase for label papers

The Austrian producer of label papers Brigl & Bergmeister has announced plans for price increases that will apply to the third quarter.

For all wet-strength label papers, the price increase will be €140 per tonne. For non-wet-strength label papers and all packaging and speciality papers, the increase will be €120 per tonne. The adjustments will apply to deliveries from 1 July 2024.

According to the company, this is due to the continuing rise in the cost of raw materials, particularly pulp (long and short fibres) and chemicals.
