Label papers: Brigl & Bergmeister plans price increase for the second quarter

Austrian label paper manufacturer Brigl & Bergmeister is calling for price increases in the second quarter of 2025 due to higher costs.

In view of increased costs for raw materials, in particular for pulp (long and short fibers), energy and chemicals, the company is forced to demand higher prices. Accordingly, the increase for all wet-strength label papers will amount to 80 €/t. For non-wet-strength label papers as well as all packaging and specialty papers, the surcharge will be 60 €/t. The adjustments are to apply to deliveries from April 1, 2025.
