Altonaer Wellpappenfabrik further expands packaging production in Tornesch

Just one year after commissioning a state-of-the-art folder gluer at the Altonaer Wellpappenfabrik plant in Tornesch, the Panther Group company is expanding its capacity by installing another identical folder gluer. This is the company's response to the continuing increase in demand for die-cut packaging, multi-point glued automatic packaging, gift packaging, shelf-ready packaging and hazardous goods packaging made from corrugated board.
The packaging machine, which went into operation in autumn 2024, fits seamlessly into the modernization and automation project that Altonaer Wellpappenfabrik has been working on since the beginning of 2023. The experts use the twin machines to execute individual customer orders and implement a wide range of packaging solutions for demanding markets at home and abroad. Thanks to the new logistics system that has already been implemented and the fully automated semi-finished goods warehouse, the increased production capacity can now be optimally utilized.
With the high-performance systems and increased automation, the Panther plant, the Altonaer Wellpappenfabrik, is creating the basis for further improved competitiveness. For the numerous customers, this means maintaining the usual delivery reliability, adherence to delivery dates and the high quality of the packaging.
