Allianz Brückenstrompreis: Members criticised results of Meseberg closed-door meeting
News General news
The associations and trade unions of the energy-intensive industries united in the Alliance for a Bridge Electricity Price have reiterated their demands to quickly adopt a temporary bridge electricity price.
Instead of making a clear commitment to Germany as an industrial location and starting the transformation with seven-league boots on, the federal government has once again postponed important decisions for the future, the alliance criticised the results of the closed-door meeting in Meseberg. Investment decisions in the industries were either imminent or had not been made. Every week later is too late for many companies.
Without a bridge electricity price from 1 January 2024, jobs and entire locations would continue to be threatened. The alliance announced that it would continue to join forces and increase the pressure on the federal government.
